To the TaeKwon-Do World
It is with profound sadness we announce the passing away of our founder Grand Master Han
Sam Soo.
Grand Master Han Sam Soo was a senior Taekwondoist known to many of us who love, train
and practice this “beautiful art”. His contributions will always be remembered by many of his
students, friends and TaeKwon-Do practitioners all over the world. To the many who knew
him, he has always been a kind, humble and justified good man.
We dedicate this to his dear family, students and friends:
“ A limb has fallen from the family tree, I hear voice that whispers ‘Grieve not for me’.
Remember the best times, the laughter, the songs.
The good I lived while I was strong. Continue my heritage, I am counting on you.
Keep on smiling, the sun will shine through.
My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest.
Remembering all…..how I was truly blessed.
Continue traditions, no matter how small.
Go on with your lives, don’t stare at the wall.
I miss you all dearly so keep up your chin until that find day we are together again.”
As far as the federation is concerned, before his passing, Grand Master Han has instructed
our Secretary General to establish an executive board to handle the future operation of LITF.
The entire board has gone through an election process to elect a new President and I am
humbled and honoured to have accepted this position. Moving forward we will continue to
honour Grand Master Han’s legacy, build on the foundations of this federation as per his
vision and pass on the original TaeKwon-Do to many more generations.
Sincerely,
Dr Steve Ng Hong Aik
President of LITF & Grand Master
