Grand Master Dr Steve Ng Hong Aik

Biography

Grand Master Dr Hong Aik Ng was born on January 17, 1955 in Malaysia. His academic acumen includes Bachelor of Business Administration (Lincoln University U.K.), Master of Business Management (Institute of Manufacturing U.K.), & Doctorate In Martial Arts ( Asia Pacific Open University). 

The Malaysian Grand Master started his TaeKwon-Do training in 1969, under his very first Taekwon-Do teacher, instructor and pioneer Grand Master Kim Jong Chan. GM Kim Jong Chan was then the “Chief Instructor Of Penang Taekwon-Do Association”, Malaysia.

GM Dr Ng has been actively involved in TaeKwon-Do since 1969 for the past 54 years, training, teaching and instructing. He has also participated actively in ITF TaeKwon-Do Championships, including the ITF 1st World Veteran Championship, winning medals, in Genting Highlands, Malaysia in 2004. 

GM Dr Ng’s 1st Dan Black Belt was received in 1978 and after devoting his life into TaeKwon-Do, he was promoted to 9th Dan by Grand Master James Lim Ching Sing from Advanced Taekwon-Do International, on September 21, 2018. Since joining LITF in September of 2021, GM Dr Ng has eventually received his 9th Dan recognition from the LITF Founder, the late Grand Master Han Sam Soo, on October 7th, 2021.
